Crash Cushion™

Crash Cushion™

Crash Cushions™ are a new type of noise-dampening pad developed by the makers of the Abmat and available here with exclusive Rogue branding.

Optimized for Olympic weightlifting and powerlifting, alike, Crash Cushions™ are cost-efficient, American-made shock-absorbing floor mats that dramatically reduce the sound and vibration of bars/plates on the drop. For large training facilities that operate near other businesses or a residential area, this offers a simple solution for being a less noisy neighbor. And for garage gym owners, it opens up the possibility of early morning / late night training without waking up the whole family.

AbMat’s Crash Cushions™ are sold in pairs and measure 30” x 24” x 6” with a weight of 23 LBS each. Backed by a one-year warranty, they’re constructed using dense rebond foam and durable 18 oz. Ripstop vinyl. A reinforced carry handle of 2” seatbelt webbing is also sewn in, enabling easier transport and storage.

Besides weightlifting, gym owners can utilize their Crash Cushion pads for a wide range of other uses, including introductory box jumps / steps training.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A bit pricy, but a lifesaver! I bought these nearly two months ago, and they've been great. I've been lifting in a bedroom on the ground floor, and they've done an excellent job of reducing the sound and vibrations inside the house. Most of the sound I hear is the inside of my bumper plates hitting the barbell sleeves. My only gripe is the price is a bit steep at about 330 CAD + shipping, but these were the only ones in stock at the time so I didn't exactly have many other options. Thankfully these have worked really well thus far, they still look brand new, and it looks as though they'll last a long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Garage Gym Game Changer I bought these to help with potential noise and help my workout schedule. These work great! Handles and size are super manageable, tremendous addition to my home gym!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job Bought this to protect new hardwood floors in the basement. So far, easily absorbs 70kg drops from overhead. Not much bounce. You could be sitting beside it and not know a weight was being dropped. While it would not be tough to make on my own, would love a companion piece that simulates a platform at the same height.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Garage Gym Accessory This do a great job of bringing down the sound when you drop the bar. No more worrying about annoying neighbors or waking up the kids early in the morning. Useful for handstand push training also. Highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These crash pads are SOLID! I actually bought some "Strike Shields" to use as make-shift drop pads when I was first adding gear to my home gym and let me tell you...the difference between those frugal drop pads and the Rogue Crash Cushions is NIGHT and DAY! I'm so glad I pulled the trigger and eventually upgraded to these drop pads. These things weigh a ton and don't move at all when dropping weights on them. PLUS, they're pretty versatile as well and I have used them for hip thrusts, step ups, sit-ups, etc. The ONLY thing I wished they had was a handle at the top to carry them vertically. There are handles on the sides but I actually prefer storing them upright and it's a little hard to put them in place behind my rack without a top handle. As stated above, these things have some weight to them, which is a good thing except when positioning them behind my rack (then it gets kind of awkward to hold them upright). If you store them on the sides though then it's super easy since the handle is there to naturally carry them that way.
