Grandfather Clock Grip System

The Rogue Grandfather Clock Grip is a new take on the classic towel grip pull-up. Sold in pairs, these 1.875" diameter steel tubes can deliver a more intense form of bodyweight training than a traditional pull-up bar, as the vertical neutral grip position not only is a grip strength killer, but also targets the forearm muscles much in the way a rope climb does.

You can also use the Grandfather Clock Grips for modified farmers walk carries and other grip strength work. Order them as a full system (with a set of straps and carabiners) or on their own. Either way, these are versatile accessories that offer up a challenging change-of-pace.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great as long as you use gym chalk! I recently purchased these Grandfather Clock grips along with the Cannonball grips. When ordering, I was convinced that I would prefer these over the latter. Much to my surprise, the opposite is true. The reason for this is that since they lack knurling, your hands will slip off very easily... and I have decent grip strength being able to presently do 17 pullups on a standard bar. In short, you really need to chalk up to use these and the problem with that is that I then have to immediately wash my hands because I don't want chalk all over the other grips I own that don't require a chalked palm. That being said, I do enjoy the challenge. :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buy them! Over a pull up bar, as farmer's walk grips, attach to a plate loader, loop them around a curl bar and make it burn, the possibilities are endless! SOLID construction. Heavy duty grip training tools. I can close the CoC #2.5 yet when my bodyweight is hanging from these I don't feel so strong. Working on pulling off a skin-the-cat and one handed pull ups with these within a couple weeks. Grip it and rip it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I receive this product as a birthday present. I wanted to incorporate more forearm/grip work into my routine. I use them exclusively for pull ups and they are great. My forearms get a great workout. They are a bit slippery especially if your hands are even slightly sweaty. Gloves didn't help much, so I wrapped them in hockey tape which solved that problem.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product This is a good product. The price is a little steep, but it is a sturdy product. The tubing is a solid. The straps seem very sturdy as well. I have confidence this product will last for years to come. You may find it difficult to grip with out the application of chalk. I found this to be the case with my personal fitness level. I think this is variable dependent upon your own fitness level. Try to humble your self before jumping to conclusions. If you initially try and fail. Try using chalk. This helped me a quite a bit. It does require a pull up bar which is set fairly high. The grips hang fairly low. I'm about 6 feet 2 inches. My pull up bar is about is a few inches taller than me. When I put these on my pull up bar, my knees were touching the floor. A couple if cinder blocks remedied the issue. Overall it's a fun product to use.

Great way to build grip and forearm strength. If you’re a mere mortal like me, get some monster bands to assist you when you first start out.
