Perchmount XL Phone Holder

Developed just down the road from Rogue’s headquarters in Columbus, OH, the Perchmount Universal Phone Holder is an innovative tool for keeping your smartphone viewable, accessible, and stabilized throughout a workout—or just about any other activity. With a newly updated design, the Perchmount XL now expands wider for compatibility with all major smartphone brands (including the iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy phones) and most case sizes.

Whether you want to use a phone to record your technique or to see a virtual trainer communicating with you remotely, the Perchmount XL offers a hands free solution—safely clamping around your phone and mounting securely to any magnetic metal surface, like the upright of a power rack. The Perchmount also comes with a separate magnetic base station with an adhesive end that allows you to set up the device virtually anywhere, be it a wall, table top, rower, box, etc.

Important Note on Magnets: All smartphones use flash based memory, and are NOT damaged by the magnet in the Perchmount XL. The magnet may cause interference with the wireless field created by NFC enabled smartphones, however, so for best performance, switch NFC off. We also recommend you do not use a Perchmount XL with an iPod Classic, as it has a hard disk drive, and the magnet would likely cause damage.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I wish i knew before i ordered I ordered the XL from Perchmount and the holder really needs to be fully stretched out to its max to hold the iphone 6 plus. It seems that it's at its max and that's without a case. The magnet is not strong enough to hold the iphone in a vertical position without spinning around. I was able to play with positioning with the phone in the mount to get it to not swing, but during workouts there really isn't a lot of time to play with a phone, at least for me. A stronger magnet would solve this issue... Works better on my wifes iphone 6, just not too good for the plus. Think i'm just gonna epoxy a neodymium magnet to a cheap slim case....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from magnet and fit issue solved To solve the issue some people have with the phone sliding due to the magnet strength, thisbisbeasily fixed by placing the mount towards the top of the phone. This puts the weight of the phone below the mount so that it doesn't spin. As far as those complaining that it stretches the mount so that you record on an angle, I found this to almost be a be fit sometimes but if you use a squat stand you can go anywhere and get the perfect angle. If you have the 6 plus, I would probably pass tho. Who needs a phone that big anyway?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely Useful Had this piece for a while now and is one of the most useful accessories I have. Is awesome to use to hold your phone as a timer or to video yourself. People ask me about it all the time, do yourself a favor and grab one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing I've had this phone holder for a month and it's ausome. It fits my iphone6s perfectly and the settings can adjust to a slightly larger or smaller case. The magnetic holder is super easy to maneuver around the gym, around the house, or in the car on the dashboard.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Usually forces you to hold the camera upright (portrait mode) rather than horizontal (landscape) Youtube videos should not have black bars on the sides. That happens when you take a video with your phone upright in portrait mode. The design of this holder makes it very difficult to use the phone in proper landscape mode to record a video. It is sturdy however and the magnet is quite strong.
