Great product.I’m 5’10”, 200 lbs and measure about 40cm so that puts me in between large and medium. I went with the medium and am happy that I did. The zipper is useless, I just leave mine open.

As good as can be expected.Mesh back helps shins not got too overheated and sweaty, and neoprene front effectively protects the shins from even aggressive gnurling. Zipper on the side doesn't really close while being worn because I don't have toddler ankles, but don't feel like that affects it much. Does add a bit of friction resistance, so baby powder with big lifts will help. Going down, I feel the bar can catch a little on the tops, and they obviously don't protect the knees.
Overall I'm happy and use them regularly and would recommend. Don't have unrealistic expectations and you'll be golden. They're high quality, but might not be for everyone.

Great for rope climbsThis worked great for rope climbs. Was able to climb more quickly since I wasn’t afraid of burning my leg.

Not great for deadliftingI bought these to protect my shins while deadlifting. I use a shoulder width stance, so my shins make contact with the knurling on my power bar. After only 4 deadlifting sessions the first layer of the shin guards has a hole in it. The inside part of the padding is rubber, which is now exposed, increasing friction during the lift.
The guards are very comfortable and breathable, so I'm sure they are great for other things.
I would not recommend these if you need them to deadlift.

Rock Guards are essential!I have been using my rock guards for approximately 3-4 weeks now. It was only this past week that was doing my last set box jumps (homemade plywood box - no padding ) and my legs somewhat gave out towards the last few jumps and I landed on the corner of the box on my shin. It hurt nonetheless - but it saved my shin and skin from some major hurt. I ma grateful for having had them on...
