Do what you'd expectPros: They do exactly what they should and protect your shins through box jumps, rope climbs, deadlifts, etc. They stay comfortable on your legs throughout and fit nice and snug. The box claims they're great for OC races too, but I haven't used them for that nor do I plan to.
Cons: The only major con is they're expensive for what they are. Other than that, I only have one minor problem of them sometimes teaming up with my shoe to rub me right behind the tongue on the top of my foot.
Tip: Be sure to let them air dry out after use because as you'd expect they're soaked by the time your workout is over

Nice product to protect shins for barbell liftsThese were very good for rope climbing and have good padding in front of shin for barbell lifts. For now i only used these for rope climbing. They compress a little also for other activities. They are more cumbersome to put on and take off since you put them on like a sock and have a stir-up for the heel to prevent crawling up leg. I prefer the XT Brace for barbell lifts since can easily remove it when switching to non-lifting activities. But if you want more protection then these Rock Guards are ideal. For rope climbing, make sure the zipper on the inside of leg and to avoid cutting into lower leg.

Great ProtectionI've had my Rock Guards for about 8 months. I bought them after I missed a box jump and got a nasty scrape on my shins and infection. I also use them for OLY lifts to protect my shins from the scrape. I recently missed a box jump but thanks to the Guards no scrape just a little bruise. I highly recommend them and I will be ordering a new pair soon.

Great idea, execution could be betterThe concept and design of the Rock Guards are excellent...they protect the shins during deadlifts VERY well and are pretty easy to put on and take off. Unfortunately, the sewing leaves quite a bit to be desired, particularly the elastic bands that go underneath the feet. I have had to carefully re-sew the elastic bands back on to the shin guards. If this part of the design was a bit more robustly engineered, you'd get a 5 out of 5 stars from me.

Work great for deadliftingThey make deadlifts suck less. No more grinding the bar up my bony shins. The zippers are worthless. They won't stay closed once they're on, but doesn't really affect how the fit or perform. They should probably just replace them with elastic instead.

Stirrups Failed After First UseThe shine guards work well, and do the job. However, after the first use one of the stirrups failed and came apart at the stitching. Also, the side zipper is useless, meaning it does not stay zipped. My opinion, do away with the zippers and sewn stirrups and just have an integrated stirrups.
