Rogue Add-On Change Plates
For Use With Dumbbells, Kettlebells & Fixed Bars

Rogue Add-On Change Plates feature a unique twist-on design that allows them to be opened up at one end and securely attached to the grip/handle of a dumbbell, kettlebell, or fixed weight barbell (they will NOT fit on the sleeve of a standard barbell). This simple innovation makes it far easier for athletes, regardless of skill level, to push for constant gains through measured, micro progressions—without having to sacrifice technique.

Developed from an original design by inventor Chris Wilke, our Add-On Change Plates are sold in pairs and constructed with a steel slug inner and 4mm thick, color-coded TPE rubber outer with molded Rogue branding. The rubber surface ensures the plates won’t damage the finish or knurling of your kettlebells, dumbbells, etc.

Customers can choose from three weight increments (0.5 LB, 1 LB, 1.5 LB) or order a complete 6 LB set with one pair of each increment. All plates are backed by a 1-year warranty.

Key Features of Rogue Add-On Change Plates

  • 1Micro Progressions for Kettlebell, Dumbbell, Fixed Bar

Inventor Chris Wilke came to us with a new change plate designed specifically for increasing the weight of a dumbbell, kettlebell or fixed barbell by small advances, rather than having to jump straight to the next 5LB or 10LB increment (i.e., a 25LB dumbbell could be increased to 25.5LB, 26LB, 26.5LB, etc.). Add-On Change Plates can be twisted and opened to attach directly to the handles of these free weights, helping athletes push for constant gains without sacrificing technique.

  • 2Three Color-Coded Weight Increments

All Rogue Add-On Change Plates are sold in pairs, and feature an inside diameter of 34.1 mm. This makes them compatible with most dumbbells/kettlebells/fixed bars, but NOT barbell sleeves. The three color-coded increment options are:
    0.5 LB - Green - 12.9mm thick (+/- 5% tolerance)
    1.0 LB - Yellow - 15.8mm thick (+/- 3% tolerance)
    1.5 LB - Red - 16.8mm thick (+/- 2% tolerance)

  • 3Quality Construction

These specialized kettlebell/dumbbell change plates are highly durable and manufactured with a steel slug core and a 4mm thick, TPE rubber outer. The rubber not only allows for the twisting action of the plates during attachment, but also ensures the finish and knurling of your equipment won’t be damaged during use. All plates include molded weight indications and Rogue branding.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great concept but... I was very excited for this thinking it would be a great way to add weight to my dumbbells in my home gym instead of purchasing a whole new set of dumbbells. Unfortunately you can only add up to 3lbs to a single dumbbell. (Thinking I could go up to 5lbs) You can only fit a single pair of add-ons to be able to “barely” get a full grip of the handle. If the creator could find a way to make them thinner and be able to fit up to 5lbs; I think it would have been perfect. I still would recommend this product for those wanting to add more weight to their dumbbells only if they bought the 1.5 add-ons (3lbs) for those wanting to save some money and space for their home gyms.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product for rubber hex dumbbells I just received two pairs each of the 1lb and 1.5lb Add-On Plates and couldn't be more pleased. These will really help when doing certain dumbbell exercises where the usual 5 pound increase is causing me a significant drop in repitions that I am able to perform. I've noticed that all it takes is one time on and off of a dumbbell for these plates to be "broken" in and are very easy to then get on and off of the dumbbell handles. Finally a product has been developed to bridge the gap between different dumbbell sizes. Very happy with these plates for sure!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent for Kettle Bell front squats I brought 2 pairs of the Add On Change Plate as I do a lot of double kettle bell front squats as part of my exercise routine. The "Add On Change Pleate" are a great addition when you want to increase the weight in small increments. This is crucial if you are doing high reps in your set and you want to add a little more weight in your next set of reps. The only con I have with the product is that it is expensive but I am glad to have to have them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First impressions legit Love these things allows for small jumps where my programs call for 15 reps and that jump is too big it also doubled up as an increase to my life fitness g7 cable system. The jumps with it are 10lbs. Hopefully their next iteration are a bit thinner

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Idea. The idea it self is great. I have a lot of kettle bells and I use them as dumbbells. I have been looking for a way to add 3-5 pounds to them. The problem is you can’t really use them properly once they are on. The largest set rub on your knuckles and don’t allow proper use in some movements except for simple swings. Would be best if they attached some way to the bottom of the kettle bell or a wrap around it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great idea; however poor design. I’ve been eying this product for a while now since the whole corona thing has shut up down the gym. I initially purchased the 3 lb set and impulsively bought a second set one day later because I wanted to try maxing out a dumbell by adding 3 lbs to it. I was super excited to try this product; however, there quite a few flaws when trying the product out in real life. For one, I am a male with small hands and when you add two 1.5 lb plates to the handle of the dumbell, there is very little room to grip. When using this product to dumbell press, I noticed the weights shifting back and forth and on the decline of my rep would cause the rubber plate to press against the lateral part of my hand/wrist causing quite a bit of discomfort. I tried the same with just one plate on each side and I noticed the plates shifting back and forth more. I also felt the dumbell feeling off balanced when just using one plate. It felt almost as if I was bench pressing with a barbell that was unevenly loaded. Even though it was just 1.5 lbs, I can definitely feel the imbalance when performing dumbell presses. Kettlebell wise, adding two plates to it does result in a loss of space to grip. However, it did perform quite well with goblet squats. I even tried loading 6 lbs on it and it still allowed some hand space for single arm exercises with some minor plate movement. I don’t really do any type of kettlebell swings so I can’t give any input on that. Overall, the product is easy to use; however, if you are intending to use this product mainly with dumbells, I would advise against it if you have average size hands because of the plate movement and the fact that it can cause pain to hands/wrist. Also keep in mind that even if you use one plate per dumbell, it will cause the dumbell to slightly become unbalance on the side with more weight. If I went back in time, I would honestly just pass on this product but given the events of the world right now, it’s impossible to get dumbells. If this product still entices you, just be aware that this product has been out for about two years or so, with only a handful of reviews and little to no videos on it. Quality wise and shipping wise, the product seems to be made very well. Hoping to get more rouge products soon.
