Rogue Heavy Rail - Monster

The Rogue Heavy Rail is a 3x3” 11-gauge steel tube designed to mount along the base of a gym wall for a wide range of custom storage and functional training purposes.

Similar in concept to The Strip, the Monster version of the horizontally-oriented Heavy Rail features 1” holes spaced 2” apart, with a total of 43.25” of usable length for attaching compatible Monster Series accessories, including the Monster Landmine, Plate Storage Channel, and Single Bar Holder (a Monster LITE version with 5/8” holes is sold separately here). A single Heavy Rail opens up countless unique set-up options, from dual Landmines to side-by-side storage for up to four Trap Bars.  Athletes can also stand on the rail for calf raises, anchor their feet during sit-ups, or attach resistance bands and mobility tools via the provided anchor points in the end brackets.

Rogue initially developed this patent-pending accessory for use in the training facility of the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets, and it’s now been refined for almost any type of gym layout, with mounting points spaced at 48” to fit on standard 16”-on-center wall studs. The space efficient Heavy Rail extends just 11” from the wall (11.75” with optional stringers) and measures 7-⅛” in height (from the floor to the top of the steel tube).

Gym owners can also opt to link together two Heavy Rails using the center joint, which will combine for a total width of 106.5” along a wall (96” usable space). Stringers will be needed for this set-up, but as a benefit for some gyms, a Monster Heavy Rail can optionally be linked with a Monster LITE Heavy Rail, creating even more versatility for adding attachments.

IMPORTANT: In all set-ups, the Heavy Rail must be bolted to both the wall and floor. We provide a set of (4X) 3/8" x 2.5" wood lags for the wall mount and (2X) 3/8" x 3" concrete anchors for mounting to the floor.

Add New Functionality to Any Gym Wall

Rogue first developed the Heavy Rail for the training facility of the Columbus Blue Jackets, and its benefits are now available for any gym looking to maximize its space efficiency. Designed to run horizontally along the base of a wall (bolted to both the wall and floor), the Heavy Rail has end-bracket mounting points spaced 48” apart, making it compatible with any standard 16”-on-center wall studs. Once mounted, it has a depth of just 11” from the front of the tubing to the wall (11.75” with optional stringers), and a height of 7-⅛” from the floor to the top of the rail.

Anchor points in the end brackets allow the additional use of resistance bands and mobility tools, and the steel rail itself can be used for standing on during calf raises or anchoring the feet on sit-ups. Quality Rogue Construction

Rogue proudly manufactures the Heavy Rail in the USA, using 3x3” 11-gauge steel and 5/16” formed steel plates with a Medium Gloss Powdercoat finish and laser-cut Rogue branding. The reinforced end plates fasten the tube in two planes with formed washer plates for additional structural integrity. The Monster version weighs 43 LBS and comes with 1” diameter holes with standard off-set 2” hole spacing. Rogue provides all hardware required for mounting the rail to both the wall and floor.

Single Rail or Linked

Single Rail or Linked

The Heavy Rail is sold individually and, as a 4-foot standalone section, can be set up with or without stringers. Customers can also choose to add an additional Heavy Rail (whether Monster or Monster Lite) and link it to the first using the center joint. Linked Rails have a total width of 106.5” (including brackets) along the wall and DO require stringers if mounting on a standard wall with studs. Adding a third linked Rail is also an option in some cases for gyms with significant wall space.
