The S Series Squat Stand Sets the New Standard

Standing six-feet high with a 48"x48" footprint, the American-made S-1 Squat Stand is a space-efficient unit that gives up nothing in quality. As with the entire Rogue S-Series, we’ve designed the S-1 for both durability and ease-of-use, starting with 2x3” 11-gauge steel uprights, Westside hole spacing, and J-cups with protective UHMW plastic liners. Tested at a weight capacity topping 1,000 pounds, the latest model of the S-1 also includes an updated base that replaces the formed socket with the same bolted triangle plates used on our Monster Lite squat stands, improving the overall stability of the unit.

Because it’s the smallest and most practical of the S Series squat stands, the S-1 does not have pull-up bar holes. Its unique versatility, however, still makes it an all-in-one work station for squats, bench, clean pulls, floor press, overhead press, and much more. The S-1 is also compatible with a wide range of 2x3” accessories, including the Safety Spotter Arms, and Rogue Landmines.

Check out the sidebar on the right to order the S-1 individually or as part of a custom package with a bench, bar, plates, etc. To explore a larger S-Series squat rack with pull-up bar options, try the Rogue S-2.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best purchase in a while It took me a while to get to this point but having a squat rack in the home is a game changer for me. I'm not strong, most I've put on it so far is 225 but the rack remains solid. As long as you don't put 315 on the bar, wobbly knee it out for some epic quarter reps, come running wide-eyed back to the sanctuary of the J-cups, and then b**** that your own weakness is in fact a fault of the rack and how much it moves, you'll be fine. This thing will easily hold weight for the 99% of us and I can't imagine a normal scenario where this thing dies before me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Option! I have a very low basement ceiling, this was the most amazing option I had. I looked for a couple months at the local stores and could not find anything nearly close to the quality and PRICE!! I live in the cold world of CANADA and even with it being shipped I paid almost the exact same price as the squat stands in local stores. This beautiful piece of equipment I built in less thank 40 minutes( thats Canadian minutes for you Americans). With building the bench afterwards, I was benching in less then 80 minutes after I started. The design of these are perfect. My floor is fairly flat, but it was a little wobbly, if you loosen the bolts, let it set and tighten them it is amazing how level everything is with no effort on your part. I bought the S-1 because my ceiling is 7 feet high, I added a photo of it to show you how tall it stands compared to my ceiling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Great rack and solid purchase. I got it with the safety spotter arms for squats and bench presses. One thing though—the instructions It came with we're for the Yoke rack. Very easy build though: twenty minutes and we're sqwattin'. With a 1,000 lb. weight capacity, this the only rack I'll need for a while. It doesn't have a pull up bar, but if you're on a budget, or in a basement, this'll do. You can just get a doorway pull up bar

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Solid! Purchased about a month ago and I am completely satisfied. I finally took the plunge and set up a home gym with this rack being the central piece. I added spotter arms, a bench and an Ohio Bar; all three are great accessories and are of the same high quality as the rack. You won't be disappointed if you go with Rogue. The construction is super solid. Also, I liked the way the gear was packed and shipped. Well protected and easy to put together.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding stability in a compact package This is the second Rogue squat stand (and umpteenth piece of Rogue equipment) I have purchased. I have the S-4 Indy stands as well, and have loved those. I bought the S-1 to go in my basement (and use the S-4 on my back patio when I work out outside). The area for my basement gym is only about 12'x12', so space is at a premium. The S-1 is compact but rock solid, and the design of footers on this gives more room for my feet when squatting compared to the base of Indy stands. As with everything Rogue builds, the quality is unsurpassed. I put this together myself with two adjustable wrenches in about 15 minutes. Super easy to do, and I am hopeless with tools and fixing things. If it is simple enough for me to assemble, ANYBODY can do it. The only potential issue I found was that the 2-inch hole spacing on the bottom means that the bottom of the spotter arms does not always have a hole for the pin. Even though there is 1 inch hole spacing in the bench press zone, if you want to pin the bottom of of the spotter arm, you need to move in 2 inch increments. I have the Rogue flat bench, and I was lucky that the right spotter arm height for me fits the bottom hole, too, so I can pin it without problem. Some people might have to use a slightly "off" position in order to pin the bottom of the spotter arm, or not pin it in the perfect position. It's a one inch difference, so probably not a huge deal, but it's something to be aware of. I am giving this 5 stars because it fits me perfectly, fits my basement gym perfectly, and more than handles the weights I use (up to 360#) without the slightest amount of wiggle. I live in Ann Arbor, and the only time I'm happy seeing something from Columbus is when a package from Rogue arrives at my door!
